Reiki

Reiki is a wonderful tool for humans and animals a like. Just like our unconscious mind has patterns, holds memories and trauma, our body does too. During a reiki session I connect with this energy and shift it allowing for that which is no longer serving us to fall away. Transmuting dis-ease and blockages which have created unwanted patterns in our life. I work with the divine light when doing a reiki session along with my own energy healing work as a Rose Priestess.

Everything in life is mental, emotional, physical or spiritual.

What is reiki?

The word reiki is broken down into two main parts: Rei is translated into spiritual wisdom and the Ki is our life force energy. Every single being on this planet is made up of energy. Everything is energy, just as we are all made up of cells and atoms we are also completely made up of energy. Reiki connects to this energy and realigns everything that we are. When our energy flow gets disrupted by traumas, negative thought patterns and the like our flow is disrupted. When this occurs unwanted symptoms or illness can be present. When reiki is done on a person or animal it brings this flow back into alignment. In Japan Dr. Usui discovered how to attune others to the energy of reiki. Those that are reiki practitioners have been attuned to this energy and have learned the symbols and techniques to utilize this energy.

Reiki is being accepted more and more every year by medical professionals. Reiki is now accepted in hospitals, veterinary clinics, military hospitals as well as holistic wellness centers.

Animals and Reiki

Animals are innately connected to nature, intuitive, and sensitive to energy. They understand energy and Reiki better than we do which makes the experience a joyful partnership. When my dogs want Reiki from me, they will come and snuggle me, sometimes forcing my hand on the spot that needs energy healing. It’s always my privilege to help my own beloved animals and yours!

When I give Reiki healing to an animal, I first ask for their permission and sit with them. I make a connection with the animal and let the healing energy flow. Reiki is wonderful for behavioral issues as well as physical concerns. I follow the animal’s direction and allow what is needed to be received.

Animals will direct me and let me know what they need and where they need it. They also know when the energy has shifted and the session is complete. Some animals cannot get enough, especially ones that have been abused or around negative situations. They often do not want it to end. In these circumstances multiple sessions are needed.

In person or Long Distance:

We do not have to be in the same room for me to connect to your energy. Reiki is done just as effectively long distance as in person. This option is great for you if you live away from Madison or if you have an anxious pet.

Many times when I do Reiki, I also receive messages from your guides. While this is not always the case, I will let you know all that I am receiving and tuning into.

In person location is the west side of Madison, Wisconsin. The address is provided on the in-take form when scheduling the appointment.

1/2 hour: $75

1 hour: $125

What to expect during a Reiki Session:

I'm so happy to have the privilege of helping you heal using Reiki. This practice is gentle and can work beautifully with other healing modalities.

When you come to see me for a session, the first thing we will do is go over what brought you to Reiki and what needs you have.

Physically, you will be face-up on a massage table for the entire session. If you are unable to lay in that position, accommodations can easily be made to ensure you are comfortable.

I will then be silent while I invite your guides to me and connect my energy to yours.  From there the Reiki session will begin.  I will scan your body for energy blocks and where energy needs to shift.  Throughout the Reiki session, you will feel relaxed and may notice tingling or heat in different parts of your body.  Your body’s energy and your guides will direct me where Reiki energy is needed the most. You may feel emotions arise at different times, seemingly out of nowhere, which is perfectly normal. It's also safe and I encourage you to let those feelings out as you release them.

Throughout most of the session, I will be silent.  At the end of the session, I will let you know what information I received from your body and your guides.  We will also discuss what you experienced and any information you have for me regarding the session.

After your session, I encourage abundant self-care. Drink lots of water over the next 24 hours, because staying hydrated allows the body to flow more easily and energy to adjust.  We are made up mostly of water so anytime the body or your energy is experiencing an adjustment, an intake of water is advised.

Some people experience fatigue following a Reiki session.  This is not a negative thing as it is sometimes a product of your awareness shifting or old patterns falling away.  The best remedy for this is an Epsom salt bath and grounding, connecting to mother earth.

If you have any questions about what to expect from a session, please feel free to contact me and I will be glad to answer them.

Groups:

Reiki has become very popular during yoga classes, and other holistic groups. If you are interested in having me join your group to give this beautiful energy please contact me.
